Selling for the wife of a friend that passed. This is a solid 73 with a 2.7 that was rebuilt by PMCI in New Mexico in 2008. Only about 2500 miles on the rebuild. The PO rarely drove it. The PO passed in January. Pretty stock 914 minus the front end from a 911 SC I think. Rear hubs were re-drilled for 5 lug and studs pressed in.
To get the car ready for sale the oil lines from the crankcase to the thermostat and from the thermostat to the external oil cooler were replaced, The oil cooler is a 72 plate Mesa cooler with a fan mounted under the rear trunk. The Oil was drained and re-filled with VR1 racing oil. Carbs were checked out and jets pulled and cleaned. The brake master cylinder was replaced and the brakes were flushed. Rocker covers were pulled and rockers checked. Rusted lower parts of Jack points were cut out and the rust treated. Rockers need new Jack points but are solid.
The whole car is very solid aside from the jack points and some of the the typical rust around the back seam of the rear trunk, nothing rusted through though. There is also some body damage that has been repaired under the driver side tail light. Bondo shows cracking. No front end damage is apparent. the PO replaced the front hood with a yellow one he found but the color is not a perfect match. The car needs a strip and respray.
Drives great, I've put about 100 miles on it since freshening it up for sale. Tires are old and cracked. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it on a long trip home if the tires were replaced (and if it were a bit warmer, it has headers not heat exchangers).
