It’s Autocross time!
Ladies and Gentlemen- Start your Engines!

If you are new to the club, new to your Porsche or other favorite car, want to improve your driving technique, or simply want to enjoy your car, join us for a great school to develop basic autocross skills for novice level drivers.  This school is designed as an Introduction to Autocross, with the inexperienced student in mind.
You do not have to have a Porsche to participate.
The school starts with a Thursday evening ZOOM classroom session on February 23rd followed by an on-track session on Saturday, February 25th.  Anyone can register and attend the free Zoom session on Thursday.  The Saturday session will include various exercises with track-side discussions, guided course walks, and in-car coaching.
The cost for the Saturday track session is $55 for participants.  You will gain additional confidence in your driving ability, learn the limits of your car’s braking capabilities, practice correct seating, hand, feet, and vision positions, as well as push the limits of your tires’ adhesion capability.  Twists, turns, and slaloms all await you to improve and challenge your driving skill.
SPACE IS LIMITED for those registering to drive on the track on Saturday.  First-timers need to attend the Zoom session prior to driving on Saturday. Priority will be given to PCA members.  Others who register will be placed on a wait list and notified on Wednesday February 22nd if they can drive on Saturday.  Register for the Zoom session and Saturday school session at
On Sunday, we will have set up a course with lots of interesting autocross features.

The cost for Sunday is $60 for PCA members and $65 for non members.

You must register separately for
Sunday’s Frostbite autocross if you wish to attend on Sunday.

Plans for 2023 include a driving school and Frostbite autocross in February followed by confirmed autocrosses at Sandia Speedway in March and at McGee Park in Farmington in April and September.  Events will be posted on for registration beginning about a month before each event.  Other dates and venues are being sought. Sandia Speedway was sold and has only offered us the use of their track at last year’s prices for February and March. We have been looking for other affordable venues since last fall, but finding large open parking lots without obstructions and a good paved surface has not resulted in any confirmed venues. (The area should be very large, preferably several acres. Let us know if you think of some in the Albuquerque-Santa Fe areas that may be suitable. We many not have contacted them already.) We are still waiting to hear on one new site.
